Tor Inge Hjemdal

Tor Inge Hjemdal is an architect, editor and partner in Conditions magazine. He was born in Trondheim, Norway in 1973. He studied at the architectural school Trondheim, Norway where he received his diploma in 2000. He also studied at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), College of Architecture in Chicago, USA. At IIT he received scholarships for his academic excellence. In 2001 he worked as a teacher at the architectural school in Trondheim at graduate level. Tor Inge has been working in several Oslo based offices as a project manager, being responsible for big complex projects and competitions. In 2004 he also started his theoretical post graduate Masters in Urbanism at the architectural schools in Oslo, the thesis being about “Friction Space and Integration”. Tor Inge has through the years received several grants and scholarships.
